What our customers are saying
“I came across your bread mix package in a Home Goods Store in Tampa, florida, bought it not realizing it was Irish bread until I got home. I made it and can honestly say it was the best brown bread I have eaten. I am a Cavan girl living here in the states for the past 15 years and have tried to make Irish brown bread in many occasion but can’t seem to do it. Your bread is simple to make and and tastes so great. I returned to that stores but there were only two packages. Where can I buy this stateside? Well done on a great product, very happy customer!”
“Dear Cathy, I googled Multiseed Spelt Bread mix and the first thing that , t popped up was yours. So I am thinking that there is nothing like that sold in the USA. I also bought a bag of your flapjack mix but am saving it for a special treat when friends visit. Hope it is as good as the bread mix!”
“Just baked lovely Wholemeal Cathys Spelt for Health rolls with linseed instead of eggs!! I added onion for extra flavour. Tastes delicious!!”
“Flapjacks made with one of the mixes I won, many thanks, more baking to come!!”
“I bought your spelt bread mix back to the States and made it today. Do you know if I can get it here? If not my daughter is coming out at the end of the month and I will get her to bring some from home. Long term would you know of a mix here that would be similar that I could use? Thanks”
. . . and . . .
“Hi Cathy,….I’ve none of your mix left and today I made XXXXX. I added mixed herbs and sharp cheese and ate it with oil and balsamic. It’s too crumbly, just love your product and really hope to see it on the shelves in America.”
“Hi, we tried to make spelt scones but they were not as good as your mix! Is the mix available in Toronto Canada? If not I will wait patiently until the arrive in the USA. Would it be too expensive and cumbersome for your to ship me a case?”
Katera then came to Dublin and tried to buy our scone mix in many shops but without much luck.
“I assumed we would be able to purchase it anywhere, otherwise I would have pre-ordered and had it delivered to the hotel. We’ve been making our own spelt scones since we first tried your mix last year in London but our’s don’t compare”
In the end we jumped in the car on a Sunday afternoon with our scone mixes and met Katera in Avoca, Co. Wicklow when we spotted that her facebook messages were coming from this address, she was on a bus trip. Check out our blog post here.
“Good afternoon Mrs Spelt,
We hope everything is going well for you and your family.
My wife and me were pleased to meet you and your daughter and to learn about your family business. Our trip to London has been exceptional, particularly the «Afternoon tea» at the Ritz. We are sure your scones would have been appreciated by everyone at this reception.
We just made the scones at home with the mix we have bought in London. Results are excellent and to prove it you will find several photos here joined. I am sure the promotional activities were successful for you in London. Why don’t you try to distribute your products in the network of Whole foods in the USA; we will be going to Boston (Massachusetts) for another conference next week and we know there are three Whole Food stores in that city. Excuse me, I have to to back to east more scones.”
“Cathy, I love your health, nutritious and easy bread mix. I had purchased it several times at Home Goods but they are no longer carrying it. Is there another way to purchase them in the US?”
. . . and later . . .
“Cathy, thank you for responding. Of those 2500 bags I have purchased at least 6. I am addicted to the multiseed! I absolutely love spelt and in fact only buy spelt pasta. If you ever want to sell direct to the consumer (me) I would be happy to purchase it! If and when you hear anymore information about distribution in the US I would be happy to hear about it. Two other places that you might try in the US are Trader Joe’s and Cost Plus (World Market).”
“Love your product and buy it in super value Killester”
“Yummy yummy, great packaging . . Love the flap jacks especially”
“Last week I purchased your Tomato and Herb bread mix from our local TJ Maxx store in Hendersonville NC. I made it up last night to go with some spaghetti I made for dinner. All I can say is. OH MY GOSH, it was the best bread mix I’ve ever had. OK, that’s not fair in that it is the only bread mix I’ve ever tried. I make my own bread and I am pretty picky about what I consider good bread. Lately, I’ve been making some bread and my pizza dough from the spent grain leftover from making our own beer. I was interested in your bread mix made from spelt flour. Your mix was delicious! I love the fact that it didn’t contain any artificial ingredients, just the real basics that I use when making my own bread. I am so bummed that our local store only had 1 package, otherwise I would have gone back and bought all they had. I will keep an eye out for more. It is a wonderful product, tasty too!”
“Thanks for all the recipes! Pudding made and sprinkled with kids wishes, and soaking now for steaming in the morning! Mince settling nice ahead of baking 2moro, and all ingredients ready to make my cake in morn! Wish I could bottle the smell in my kitchen now, just like my granny’s years ago – it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas”
“I was just diagnosed as wheat intolerant and I tried the spelt mix for scones, but I made it as a loaf. I left it to cool on a tray to cool when I came back my Adult children had scoffed half of it ! So easy to make. Fool proof”
“Made these gorgeous flapjacks this morning, added some chopped dates and ground almond for some extra yummy-ness!”
“I bought some while in Ireland last week. Arrived home yesterday and baked it today…delicious!!”
